Forget the frappuccino. The mocha ice storm at the Nordstrom
ebar is a dessert drink worth the calories. Even though it’s decaf and nonfat,
it’s creamy and decadent all the way. The chocolate flavor is authentic, like a
cold chocolate bar. As you drink it, the whipped cream drizzled with chocolate
syrup melts into the drink, and it ends not with a chunk of ice at the bottom,
but a creamy last sip of whipped cream and chocolate!
Healthy tip: This is really dessert. The tall mocha ice
storm has 350 calories. Not good. But at least it’s not the mint chocolate chip
ice storm, which has a whopping 540 calories! Also, avoid any portion size
called “enorme” (that’s 670 and 930 calories!) – that’s just wrong.
